How I work

WHY COME TO ME AND NOT DIRECT TO A PRINTER?

In a nutshell, you get the benefit of my experience, and the wisdom learned from other peoples mistakes! There’s the benefit of my network of print folk too – no printer has every piece of kit under one roof and most will outsource some elements of work to other finishers or even other printers. I can manage this for you dealing with them directly. This gives me the freedom to choose the best option for you and your job and it also means I can choose different people for finishing if that will produce the best result for you.

HOW DO I MAKE MY MONEY?

Well that’s a fair question . Any supplier will mark up the cost of materials, outsourcing and delivery etc. By managing these elements for you I give you more options and although I make a small mark up on each element, I essentially get a trade price from the suppliers. So it really won’t cost you any more than going direct. In fact, by making some smart choices I might even save you money!

WHAT’S IN IT FOR THE SUPPLIERS?

The printers benefit from a low cost job. They haven’t had to pay a sales rep or account manager to get the work in for them, and they haven’t had to pay someone to do all the admin and checks. Although the value of the job may be lower than them dealing with the customer – the profit in the job is higher. Using the Print Lady benefits everyone all around as I’m a great source of workflow for my suppliers, all my skills are utilised, and you - the client - gets to benefit.

WHAT MAKES ME TICK?

My natural need to ask ‘why’ a lot means I’m always learning about new and different elements within the print production process. These discoveries help things run more smoothly - or look that bit more fabulous! If a supplier has some new kit, I’ll be there, finding out all about it and what additional benefits it can offer.

WHAT CAN I HELP WITH?

I view my business in 3 sections: #1 Functional/essential business print (stationery, forms and flyers). Litho or digital, this isn’t always glamorous but it’s essential. #2 Promotional print (where appearance and image is fundamental to making a lasting impression). Yes, a little bit more budget might need spending for the best results but never underestimate the power of a great business card. #3 is personal stationery (the printcraft weddings/funerals/barmitzvah’s/birthday invites). You want to make a great impression because it’s personal to you!
